ICCWC & MYEAS Celebrate 25 years of Excellence

The Islamic Cultural Centre Women and Children was established in in 1997 by Haja Maimuna Yadalieu Savage, an Islamic scholar, to promote Islam and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. Celebrating 25 years of excellence is a great achievement for those who are determined and persevere by overcoming all hurdles. This programme was graced by dignitaries from the Muslim Ummah, including from The Gambia, Senegal and other parts of the world.

Haja Maimuna Yadalieu Savage, the Executive Director, ICCWC and MYEAS began her speech by thanking almighty Allah for witnessing the event and her late parents who encouraged and supported her at the beginning of her career and her family for their continuous support. She gave a brief explanation of the school.
Alhagie Imam Ousman Jah, the board chairman of the centre, who chaired the event, commended Haja Maimuna Yadalieu Savage for her dedication to the promotion of Islam, citing the challenges she overcame, leading to her success.

Representing the president of the supreme Islamic council, Sheikh Ebrima Jarjou assured Haja Maimuna Yadalieu Savage of the supreme Islamic council’s continuous support to help her achieve more successes in her endeavour in the propagation of Islam. 

Imam Mustapha Jallowthe State House Imam with his delegation headed by Dembo By force Bojang, on behalf of President Barrow, says the president has recognized the fervent work of Haja Maimuna Yadalieu Savage in Islam and promoting peace in the Gambia.

AJA FATOU BINTOU JOBEpresenter of WAHTAN, a popular religious TV program at TFM Senegal, spoke about various topics, including Prophet Muhammad’s night journey to receive the five daily prayers form Allah, the significance of good character in Islam and the means by which one can achieve salvation in the life to come, being generous to the poor in society, the Importance of forgiveness and not using media platforms to tarnish peoples image and fighting for positions, especially the politicians vying for government positions.

Certificates of appreciation were awarded to Aja Bintou Fatou Jobe and Imam Malick Sowe from Senegal and Imam Alhagie Ousman Jah and Sheikh Ebrima Hassan Jallow for their tremendous efforts in supporting the Islamic Cultural Centre for Women and Children and the Muhammed Yadalieu English and Arabic School over the years.
